Acceptable use policy
Last updated 15 August 2026
IGNYX is used during emergencies. Misuse can cost time, resources or lives, so this policy is short and firm.
Use IGNYX for
- Wildfire detection, monitoring, command and after-action work
- Fire risk assessment, planning and prevention
- Training and exercises — clearly marked as such
- Research and analysis
Do not
Create false or misleading incident information
Do not create fictitious fires, false crew positions or false status reports on a live system. Other people act on that information. Use the simulation and training features, which are marked as training, for anything that is not real.
Interfere with emergency response
Do not use IGNYX to obstruct, mislead or divert emergency services.
Misuse personal information
Crew names, phone numbers and live positions are in this system because they are needed for safety. Do not use them for anything else, and do not share them outside the people who need them.
Compromise the service
No unauthorised access attempts, no interference with other organisations' data, no overwhelming the service with automated requests, no circumventing access controls.
Misrepresent what IGNYX tells you
Do not present a satellite detection as a confirmed fire, or a spread projection as a statement of fact, to a landowner, an insurer, a court or the public. Say what it is.
Resell or rebrand without agreement
Do not resell access, or present IGNYX as your own product, without a written agreement with us.
Security research
We welcome it. If you find a vulnerability, tell us at info@ignyx.ai before disclosing it publicly, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. Do not access other organisations' data, and do not degrade the service while testing. We will not pursue researchers who act in good faith.
Enforcement
We may suspend access for a breach. Where there is a risk to life or a serious breach we may act immediately and without notice, and may report the matter to the authorities.
